High-Speed Internet at It's Best - And the Reasons Why
High-speed Internet is the only way to travel the information highway, there are so many things to see and learn on the Internet that a slow connection just will not allow and while there are the two well known high-speed Internet services there is also a third. There is satellite Internet service and it is high-speed Internet at its best for several reasons.
The first reason is location does not matter with satellite Internet, with DSL or cable Internet living outside of certain areas means these services are not available. This is not the case with satellite Internet, it can be used in areas where the other two are not available and where they are. The reason for this is that satellite Internet does not depend on wires or cable, it depends solely upon a clear view of the southern sky where the main satellite is located which the rooftop satellite dish sends and receives data.
The second reason is there are several different speeds from 1.0 Mbps for home users and up to 3.0 Mbps for businesses, these different speeds are not usually offered with the other two high-speed providers. Having the choice of different speeds makes it easy to find the right high-speed connection for the needs of the computer user.
The third reason is for the person who has been using a dial up connection to the Internet there is the change to high-speed, this means having a connection that is approximately twenty times faster than the 53K dial up connection. This is a large difference in speed which the dial up user will notice immediately, pictures that they are used to seeing loading slowly while they guess what the picture is now will take as little as two or three seconds. They will also be able to see parts of the Internet they were not able to see with a dial up connection like video clips that need more of a connection speed than dial up connections are able to offer. There is also another advantage and that is when using a dial up connection it means either having a second phone line that is dedicated to the computer or using the main phone line. When using the main telephone line for Internet use, the telephone is tied up whenever the Internet is in use, there are often dropped Internet connections when someone calls the telephone number. This can become irritating to the point where the Internet is seldom used. A second telephone line is often installed because of this reason and that means an added cost along with the cost of the Internet service cost.
These are some of the advantages satellite Internet has over other types of Internet services and the fact that there is the freedom to live anywhere. Still having the advantage of a high-speed connection makes a large difference to many computer users who have been trapped with a dial up connection. The Internet is filled with all types of fun and information, along with the ability to work, shop or pay bills and should not be a place where the Internet connection limits what is available.
