What Came First - The Internet Or the Service Provider?
What came first, the Internet or the service provider is kind of like the old question, which came first, the chicken or the egg. Everyone believes they have the right answer, and while in the case of the Internet it is not really important, what is important is what type of Internet provider a person is using. That is because there is a difference with each provider, some have one speed, while others have two and still others have several speeds.
It is not unusual to find that DSL or cable Internet providers often offer two speeds, what is really surprising is that satellite Internet offers different high-speed connections for different types of Internet users. This is a service that has a 1.0Mbps high speed connection for downloads for the home user and this is usually a fast enough speed for all the things they want to do on the Internet. Then there is a satellite Internet home business plan that has high-speed with up to 1.2 Mbps download speeds. This can keep the home office running smooth and when it is a little larger business that needs a faster download speed there is the plan that has speeds up to 1.6 Mbps. This is not where it ends, there are two other plans for businesses or that home user that wants to play certain games or use the service for a telephone connection with plans that have 2.0 Mbps and 3.0 Mps download capabilities.
This separates the difference between high-speed broadband providers services for computer users from the home user to the businessperson who wants the kind of Internet service they need and not just a choice of two plans. Speed on the Internet means different things to different computer users, for the home user it might mean seeing email faster and looking at pictures faster. While the business might find they have a need to download business attachments often and they want a high-speed connection that means they can get the attachments and get on with their business day rather than having to sit waiting for the downloads.
The larger business might have several computers that have the need to be on the internet at the same time and while a high-speed connection is fast for one computer when the same connection is shared with several computers it will slow down the connection speed that is available. This can mean holding up business and that is not how profit is made, speed can mean more work can be done and when the business is starting out with a faster high-speed plan with satellite Internet even having several computers online will not slow them to the same speed as other connections.
Satellite Internet has been well thought out, plans for every computer users needs and the ability to have the high-speed Internet connection outside of the usual high-speed Internet areas. This is why it makes sense to many home computer users, home businesses and small businesses to use satellite Internet with its different plans to fit the computer users needs and the dependability of no extended down time.
