As far as any digital native can remember, the changes of the internet has brought about a much faster and better way of connecting the world, exchanging of large amounts of information and the means to get in touch with people.

Yet technology does come with its own flaws, and inconvenienced it may be for a lot of people, the disadvantages of broadband network are usually man-made, and sometimes due to natural calamity.

Just because broadband is fast doesn't mean it's unlimited. By this time, there are more than 80% of people who are or had switched to broadband. Imagining the network traffic that would clog the lines and cause a network slowdown is one of the problems being faced today. Sometimes, people who would really want to save on money would try and set up a wireless access, splitting the network depending on how many are connected that would also cause the slowdown.

Another one of the disadvantages of broadband network is coverage on its own. Some parts in the US may not even have phone lines. If they do, any service provider wouldn't consider setting up a high-speed connection in a populace of less than 500.

In spite of the disadvantages of broadband network, the main idea of connectivity has to be as fast as talking to someone over the phone. Yet the expenses, slowdowns and sometimes possible leeching (someone who accesses a wireless network without prior knowledge), it would be impossible for people to abandon broadband at this point in time.
