Why post when you can read? A lot of people spend several hours a week posting ads on Craigslist for something they want to sell or for some service they want to render and get paid for. The question is - what do the smart people do? The smart people don't post, they read.

For some of you, this may not make sense but please, allow me to explain. Craigslist is such a huge site that no matter what it is that you want to buy or sell, it is sure to be either required by someone on the site or is out there for grabs on the site. So if all the information you are looking for is already there, why bother with constantly posting over multiple cities and categories?

Let's say you want to get rid of your laptop. The old way would be that you get on Craigslist and go nuts making ads with different wordings so that you can post in as many categories as possible. You do this at the risk of getting flagged down and also at the risk of getting a hundred unrelated replies and queries in your mail inbox. So why not target the right audience in the first place.

There are many search tools online, which allow you to go through all the "wanted" ads on Craigslist at once throughout the region you are concerned with. With these tools, you can hit the nail on the head and target specific audiences that want what you have to sell!
